![]() ![]() Most recently, Deathground has unveiled its character classes, giving a better idea as to what the gameplay will be and providing players with a variety of options for how to survive the deadly dinosaurs. While the choice of music is a funny one, it doesn’t detract from the impressively scary T-Rex players will face when Deathground launches. The video is short, but shows off the animation for the iconic dinosaur to Louis Theroux’s now-viral rap, “ My Money Don’t Jiggle Jiggle.” Although the intimidating in-game T-Rex is the base model, which is not yet skinned or textured, it does show an impressive level of detail for the dinosaur’s hide, with its muscles and skin stretching, moving, and “ jiggling” as the creature moves. The T-Rex has been featured in promotional art and past trailers, but was often mostly hidden in shadow. ![]() The latest dinosaur showcase to come from the Deathground social media accounts is compiled of footage from last month’s Steam update, which provides one of the best looks yet at the game’s Tyrannosaurus Rex model. The developer has also revealed that the raptors of the game would be Utahraptors, rather than the famously inaccurate Velociraptors of Jurassic Park. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, Jaw Drop Games has been actively updating its backers and followers via social media, Discord, and Steam with reveals of characters, locations, and dinosaurs. The trailer saw a player sneaking around a compound whilst avoiding a raptor, teasing some of the scares of the upcoming game. This is the latest dinosaur glimpse for the title, which previously revealed that it would feature more scientifically-accurate feathered dinosaurs, rather than the more purely reptilian types seen in past dinosaur games like Dino Crisis or Jurassic World: Evolution.ĭeathground was announced as part of a Kickstarter campaign by UK-based developer Jaw Drop Games in July 2020 with an intense and atmospheric trailer that showcased the first-person survival horror gameplay.
